Scottsdale Arizona Schools
If you're in the market for a new
home, take some time to make a list of features you need and want. It
simply makes sense to know what you're looking for before going out in
search of it. If you have school-age children, you'll love what the
Scottsdale, Arizona schools have to offer.
For children aged kindergarten
through sixth grade, Scottsdale offers 24 elementary schools. Five
junior high schools are available for seventh- and eighth-graders, and
four high schools are offered as well. Basic skills are emphasized, with
a focus on math, reading, writing, language, social studies and science,
and extracurricular activities balance out the course load. Scottsdale's
public schools are recognized nationally and within the state, but
charter schools and private schools are available as alternatives.
Wants vs. Needs
While you're making your list of
wants and needs, it's helpful to keep in mind that "must-have" features
include any specifications of the property that you would be unable to
do without. It's important to separate needs from desires, and keep in
mind these will vary greatly from buyer to buyer. For example, if you
have active children, great schools and a large backyard may be
essential for you, but you may like to have an extra room to designate a
playroom. The large yard and superior schools would be on your "need"
list, whereas the playroom would fall under "wants."
